Aquarian Bath Lemon Laundry Soap Recipe

From now on Aquarian Bath will not be regularly stocking the Lemon Laundry soap. It is easy to make if you have the right tools: a grater, a food processor, and a Vitamix or similar strength blender. Please feel welcome to make it on your own. 

Small Batch

3 cups (approximately 288 g) of grated cold-processed soaps (not salt soaps) or shampoo bars

1.5 cups (approximately 286 g) of Borax

4.6 cups (approximately 1147 g) of Baking Soda

1 1/8 teaspoon lemon essential oil (you could also use lime or orange oil)

Directions: Grate soaps and pack the shreds moderately tightly to make 3 cups. Mix Borax, Baking soda, and lemon essential oil in a large bowl. Stir in grated soap shreds. Blend loosely in a food processor together with Borax and Baking soda. You may need to divide ingredients so that they don't overflow the food processor. Finally, you want to add the mix to high power blender such as a Vitamix. Blend carefully so that you don't overwork and break the motor.
