I've used Zi Cao salve to great benefit for many years for shingles lesions along with appropriate medical treatment, herpes, eczema, dermatitis, and effects from Winter and Spring's cold and windy weather creating cracks and dryness in the skin. Appropriate for any "heat condition" characterized by patches of redness and heat, dry, scaly patches and a burning feeling. Usually clears up in 3 days or is well on its way to clearing up by then. Aquarian Bath is the only source for Zi Cao I was able to find. The salve formulation is so much easier to work with than Zi Cao oil. Highly recommended

Great salve for a variety of skin problems
For the last 3 years I've used this salve to great effect for "heat" conditions of the skin -- those which are red, dry and burning, such as herpes outbreaks and eczema. I very much appreciate having a ready-made supply of the salve. Highly recommended.

All of my children have touted this product to be the very best at removing all he pain from those horrid mosquito bites, but we’ve successfully used it for years to reduce inflammation and heal anything from rashes to scrapes quickly and with far less discomfort.
